A short, fast-paced ride through Bionicle. I wanted to throw out all of the restrictions I had while making 10 Years Ago and put the editing front and center; mixing all the years up and seeing what happens. Something I find interesting about this song is that it's based on an event which kind of parallels the reawakening of Mata Nui. In short, the lead singer of Motley Crue, Nikki Sixx, was declared dead after a drug overdose, and in a last attempt to save him the paramedics injected a shot of adrenaline into his heart - hence Kickstart My Heart; obviously, it worked. BIONICLE: 10 Years Ago is a retrospective of the 'Biological Chronicle' from 2001 through to 2010, utilizing commercials, character promos, short movies, films and music appropriate to each year of Bionicle; condensed down to a just under 20-minute experience.
